Pearl Marzouq Tenant Info Manual
Pearl Marzouq’s Tenant Information Manual serves as a guideline to new residential and commercial tenants. It has been prepared in recognition of the important role the store designs play in the success of the Pearl Marzouq Complex; the interior fitout is a seamless extension of the layered ground floor, from perimeter pilotis to the central courtyard. Its purpose is to guide tenants through the fit out process of their store, including design approvals and construction process, outlining their responsibilities and overall design objectives. The design of the book had to be in complete support of the information relayed, maintaining clarity and function while communicating an identity of sophisticated elegance synonymous with that of the building.

Voyage Book Design
Voyage is a compilation of the art productions and urban installations of Nadim Karam and Atelier Hapsitus. It spans a period of fourteen years, from 1986 until 2000, covering his works ‘from Prague bridges to Japanese temple gardens, public spaces in Beirut to a simultaneous Dublin/London installation’. His work ‘blurs the boundaries between art, architecture and urbanism through the imagined and realized projects’. The design of the book was structured around rewriting ‘Voyage’ into 3 different readings: Time – hourglass VA, Vision – binoculars OG, and Thresholds – key YE. The book design is a subjective reading of the content using bold typefaces, stark colors, multiple grids, among other techniques to highlight the surreal anomaly between the art work and its urban settings. Author: Nadim Karam. Editor: Kaya Mussack. Graphic Designer: Naji Moujaes. Publisher: Booth-Clibborn Editions (ISBN:1-86154-199-6).
