Lab-École Shefford, Quebec

It grows from the ground and blends with the surrounding forest. Its architecture recedes behind the staggering columns that screen the school program and mediate with the forest trees. The swelling of the perimeter flanks a more intimate outdoor landscape, onto which the school program looks and around which loops. The program gradually ascends, descends and splices on three levels: in, on and above the ground. The east wing, along the main road, functions simultaneously as sports centre, serving the community.
